About

IMG_8435Reading Moneyball by Michael Lewis changed my life.

I was 17 years old planning on going to ASU with plans of becoming the next Phil Collins or Buddy Rich. Sure, sports was something I enjoyed but I always saw it as a hobby more than anything else.

As I became lost while Lewis broke down the statistical side of baseball I realized I wasn’t doing what I loved. I’m passionate about sports and sitting on my couch right then I realized my future needed to reflect that.  So from that point on I dedicated my career path to talking, writing, and analyzing sports of all kinds.

Living in Arizona I naturally decided to attend the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication. Now two years later, I’m majoring in Sports Journalism with a minor in Film and Media Production.

The best part about school is my work with Blaze Radio, ASU’s student-run radio station. Currently I am the Sports Director at Blaze RadioI and manage a department of over 100 students. In addition to being a play-by-play voice of ASU athletics, I produce, organize, and manage student broadcasts for ASU football, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball and hockey.

I also co-host a country music show with Jackie Padilla. I’ve been able to interview the likes of Sam Hunt, Kelsea Ballerini,  Eli Young Band, and Old Dominion as well as many talented local artists.

This education has led to internships and a job at iHeartRadio here in Phoenix as a Technical Director on Fox Sports 910 KGME. On the side I deliver sandwiches for Jimmy Johns. Tips are my bread and butter.

While I love my education, life isn’t defined by your schooling or job. Fitness is important to me and I am a competitive crossfitter. A dark theater with fellow film lovers has become a constant. When school isn’t taking up my time, you’ll fine me spending time with friends, living life to the fullest in the Arizona desert.

This is a simple portfolio of the majority of work I’ve done over my first two years at ASU. While there is a lot on here, due to circumstances beyond my control or technical difficulties I wasn’t able to compile every single last story or broadcast.
